A Beautiful Wedding

So it was a 20 hour long photothon. Constant concentration for the right moment while keeping all details in-check. On top of all those, they are both practicing Doctors in Gigilogy (hehehe). So for just visited a Dentist a month ago for a couple of fillings, the memory of the giant needle and number of drills are still fresh in my mind. So its 100% from me and my partner brother Adam.

Well as the title has it, beautiful people are easy to photography. And it was pleasurable throughout the shoot.

I have to admit, shooting a former client’s family member is not easy. The pressure to produce something similar or better is constantly working on you. You keep trying to push yourself amid the weather, environment, and crowd. One thing for sure, the couple had fun, their friends had fun, their relatives had fun and we certainly had fun too.

Congrats to this newly wed may they have a wonderful and fruitful journey together.

3 ceremonies in 1 breath

Well, we have done it again. No, not a threesome or anything like that, but a beautiful 3c’s wedding all in 1 go. I felt somewhat pity for the couple as I can sense the amount of stress and sweats (yes, wedding is not an easy thing, thats why you only go through it once) they went through.

12 hours straight as I have recorded! The weather was no help either as KL was experiencing extreme heat and humid atmospheric temperature. The icing was a garden wedding at the final function where church officials, relatives, and friends packed the garden, enduring the elements but all for the love for the couple. Only timeless pictures can be of tales for years to come.

Raymond & Agnes Wedding

As previously said in my previous post, this is the actual wedding of my client, Raymond & Agnes, having their church ceremony in one of my personal favorite churhes, Holy Rosary church in Brickfields, KL. I have shot a couple of times here previously and I fell in love with the church. It has got a vintage and old feel to it. kinda like the churches that you see on films. Anyways this is as sweet as it can get for this two love birds. By the way, they have shared a lot of information on my own wedding preparation as I, too am having a Catholic church wedding soon Thanks a lot! Ray & Agnes.

A scene to remember

What makes a scene works? Preparation or pure luck? In a typical movie production set, there is the whole crew which includes the producer ‘quite often’ and its team, director, assistant director, production assistant, script director, stunt coordinator, art director, set designer, prop master, set dresser and many more just to name a few. Another 2 very important key person to mention in creating a scene to remember of course is the Key Scenic and Greensman. With this, another movie is set to become the next blockbuster.

Well, coming back to real life where most if not all these works and coordination works are carried out by none other than your faithful photographer. In malaysia sometimes, its called ‘Hey Cameraman’. gosh…

The most we have is a make-up artist that carries a whole set of portable make-up kit plus lots and lots of tissues (2 ply) and if budget allows 1 more additional photographer’s assistant aka ‘Ah Chong’. So the pressure is really HIGH to produce a master piece to say the least. Lets face it, the shoot is normally scheduled for 3 days and most maybe 5 days, also with the ever changing climate system it is really not easy to predict it. If Apollo (God of the Sun) is shining upon you, blue skies, white clouds, colorful sunsets are almost guaranteed but otherwise grey all the way.

So as a photographer or Photo Artist, we have to determine the right time, right place, and the right everything to make the shot. We are the sole whole crew which has to plan and do everything from A to Z and hopefully our faithful star-actor and actress aka the couple can play their role with minimal NG.

The result – A scene to remember. Years later, you can still take out your album from the closet or underneath the bed, brush off the dust, browse through the photos, taking yourself down memory lane, remembering the shoot, feeling the atmosphere, the laughs, the sweats, the breeze, the smell, the shouting blah blah blah…

Now is that worth??
